Making Do In A New Home

Making work with limited resources in a new creative home may require ingenuity and experimentation. Of course, this leads to new discoveries and directions. Here are some tests prints on recycled Ikes bags and old book paper…

Is this photograph an old document, found inside a book, or something created yesterday? Where do the stories we tell about our homeland become part of our history?

Meanwhile, the surprisingly delicious aroma of spent coffee grounds, beetroot peelings and onion skins wafts through the house. I want to see if I can make useful colours from what’s left over from our meals.

Arnold’s kitchen has become my art laboratory. This makes me feel really at home!
