With  great help of two Göran  who are in its Union, on 7th April, we residentcy artists, Nettie, Marianne, Ji-ii, and our dearest friend and consultant Anders, have visited windmill near Harlösa.

This windmill was quite interesting place for me because it still has its functions and people have been keeping interests on it and keeping very specific its own stories, so it seemed to me the building was standing alive.

For instance, personally, I’ve had sketched characters for long who are needed their own place, I felt like I found the perfect place for them- adding another character, a goat running all over the windmill, which is from the original history of the windmill itself.

This place is expecting a little renovation and artistic touches by the third coming ARNA residency artists after midsummer project. The intergrafting artworks must be something else! I am so expecting on this ARNA project, too!

where it belongs

the two days with Anders :

Anders, who is humble himself but a very creative technician and a consultant on nature protection and its practical matters, so who built the group Skrä0Änglarna, took us around in Skåne for two days.

On the first day, we went to a big yard near Vomb village, where there are various big trees. We collected some garbage there and took our own inspirations of the moment.  We couldn’t clear every spot, that was technically impossible. But he told it’s more important for us to do the little things and that will make steps.

And on the second day, we had another company on our journey who is his 4-year-old grandchild named Alvar.  He told us some kids considered it as a game or finding jewels. Actually, that was a good education for young generation.

Anders drove us to the very southern part of Skåne. We reached on a beach, Abbekås,  and there we got the other friend, Stefan Brage, also another co-founder of  the group Skrä0Änglarna. During cleaning the beach picking up the litter, I could remember that I was standing in a terrible oil spill at TaeAn peninsula in Korea, December  2007. That was a huge disaster and brought tons of death of nature life, including various birds. Shocked many people, according to statistics, over 2 million volunteers gathered at TaeAn beach trying to wipe and clean every piece of stones by hands. Yes, we did.

This is one of the video I’ve searched via youtube about the accident in 2007.

After 6 years from the accident, Korean government announced that TaeAn area recovered its condition almost as same as usual. And after one more year, the test results proved once again that it’s lower than its international level.

Some once made direct printing images from the dead birds, but that could never be any artistic interest for me, I could, anyone could have attempted to, but it’s just cruel document. (Okay, it’s just my opinion whatsoever…)

So damaged… we sometimes don’t know when to put things back, maybe we are still too poor, or too busily occupied with something.  Getting older, every year, I kind of learn how to get thing back where it originally belongs. Yes, sometimes it’s hard to tell what is its origin and what is the truth or false. We don’t know, I mean I don’t know. But I’m learning it from people from nature and from growing inner voice. And the things, I think, those are including myself as well. And of course good education is always simply the way.

I wrote it down a bit heavily though, our journey ended up with warm and unexpected surprising lunch and tea time.

And I really appreciate those two kind gentlemen who showed us what is Scandinavian.

Tack tack 🙂

Nighted sky and the thin moon

Looking somewhere inside deeply, arousing a lot of curiosity, I get to know what I was looking for was comfort home. And I go home.

Even the weather is perfect, being in itself sometimes makes me drowned, drawn in a deep deep dark… then suddenly turns me on in an enormous bliss.

Among people, furniture, drawings, food, sound and smell, yes smell…

and in its nature, the sharpness of the leaf, the vivid color of hibiscus standing next to me,

today I was,

I was frustrated,

Actually, thanks to those little mind collapses, I could finish drawings quite a lot.

Lying on the trampoline, looking at the mystical night sky, the thin moon,

I am home,

feeling like always.

Untitled today

On the way home after usual biking

One eye staring me telling me where you are who you are.

During last weekend, I’ve finished two little color drawings, series of midnightspring; strange meetings at midnight.

라는 말로 달랜다

Soothing  the utterance with the word.

Post Cards_Say my hello to friends

Not exactly looking for a bit of haven here, I feel I’ve been there. Life is full of all for artistic practice now. I am happy.

After a few days for adjusting myself to here as home, I’ve prepared and sent some post cards to my friends. Hoping to get those back by 17th March, I think the first two were too rough and much forced to tell everything at once. Those may turn in failures though, as collaborative work, we’ll see.

There are the first two below. The first was sent for Mi-jin in Italy and the second one for Song-yee in France.

And others are below. In those, I tried not to put so many meanings or images.

The third is for Youme in Germany and the forth is for Binna in Korea. The last one is for our dearest Arnold in Harlösa.

Nettie once asked me do I miss my country or family.

Sometimes, somehow, I don’ know why, but I’ve had a wave of nostalgia from somewhere which I have never been in. Someone can tell it’s not nostalgia it’s some desire or wanting. It’s not easy to explain what is exactly like…Maybe I can try to say those in pictures.. Anyway, we’ve got the Internet! So, I can get their concepts though-yes, I miss their feelings, though, still I am as happy as can be.

담기 힘든 night view; the vast sky

the vast night view was uncapturable with my stupid phone camera..

(oh, dearest my camera, it’s just an expression. I love you darling..)

clearly some words from the view were popped out in my mind and I was taken standing still awhile. And I’ve decided to make some color drawings into night series with the last work in 2014. One was a little rushed to be done during the sunlight, but the other would go with some time having enough communication with me.

additionally… I really love to use children’s crayons, which I’ve been using from the very first since I was a child. they are little bit tricky because I should get off its lees everytime, but so soft and harmful.
